TrooperKat Fitness® founder Tim Hemer began his lifelong love of physical fitness in 1959 and opened his first gym in Los Angeles at age 19 in the summer of 1964. At that time, much of his training experience was in martial arts, providing private instruction to actors and athletes as American awareness of martial arts was gaining momentum. ... After coaching Body Builders including Ray Routledge (an all American Amateur and professional body builder who won the AAU Mr. America competition in 1961) he began weight training himself and has rarely skipped a day since 1967. It’s safe to say that there are few in the fitness game today that have as wide and varied experience as Tim Has. Over time, he saw his client’s needs changing. He noticed that, while there are certainly a growing range of fitness centers available in virtually every neighborhood, none of them placed a focus on helping our aging community stay fit and healthy. TrooperKat Fitness® was born – and today our specially-trained personal instructors can help not only seniors, but anyone achieve their fitness goals in a friendly, no-stress environment tailored to each client’s needs and schedule.
