Our goal is to create a personalized fitness plan that will help you progress from your current fitness level to surpassing your goals.
  • Resistance Training

Muscular strength and endurance are two important parts of your body’s ability to move, lift things and perform a variety of daily activities. Muscular strength can be defined as the amount of force you can exert or the amount of weight you can lift. Muscular endurance, on the other hand, is how many times you can move that weight without fatigue. TrooperKat Fitness® will design an exercise program that not only increase your ability to lift weights, but improves your overall strength and endurance so you can confidently perform your daily activities.
Resistance training
  • Aerobic Fitness

The ideal fitness program is one that combines resistance training with aerobic exercise. The American Heart Association recommends a minimum of 30 minutes of cardiovascular activity 5 to 7 days a week with intensity appropriate to your aerobic conditioning. The intensity of the exercise is determined by your goals, your limitations and your current fitness level.
Aerobic Fitness
  • Flexibility

Flexibility is the ability of a joint or series of joints to move through an unrestricted, pain free range of motion. Active flexibility could be considered a workout in itself, as it is activating muscles in a way that is similar to yoga. It can be done before or after physical activity or as a stand-alone workout. The benefits of flexibility include injury prevention, enhanced athletic performance and better posture and balance.

Flexibility
  • Stability and Balance

Balance and stability training are often overlooked when developing a fitness program. Balance is a key component in fitness along with strength, endurance and flexibility. Some of the benefits include: body awareness, coordination, joint flexibility, faster reaction time and long-term health. Improving balance can also assist with performing your everyday activities like standing on your tiptoes, walking on uneven ground, participating in sports or throwing a ball with your kids.

Experience

Tim Hemer, the founder of TrooperKat Fitness®, developed his passion for physical fitness back in 1959. By the summer of 1964, at the age of 19, he opened his first gym in Los Angeles. Initially focused on martial arts training, Tim provided private instruction to actors and athletes as interest in martial arts was on the rise in America. ... After coaching bodybuilders like Ray Routledge, who won the AAU Mr. America competition in 1961, Tim started weight training himself in 1967 and has been dedicated to it ever since. With his extensive and diverse experience in the fitness industry, Tim noticed a shift in his clients' needs over time. He realized that there was a lack of fitness centers catering specifically to the aging population. This realization led to the creation of TrooperKat Fitness®, where specially-trained personal instructors help seniors and individuals of all ages achieve their fitness goals in a personalized and supportive environment. If you're looking to make a positive change in your fitness journey, book an appointment with TrooperKat Fitness® today and discover the difference for yourself. Our trainers are committed to understanding your fitness history, abilities, limitations, and goals to create a customized program that delivers the results you desire.

Personalized Fitness

Whether you’re 16 or 65 (or older), the experienced trainers at TrooperKat can help you develop a fitness regimen that works for you – a dynamic experience that will grow with your changing needs.

Nutrition planning

Everyone knows or has met someone that exercised regularly – but their physical appearance doesn’t seem to change appreciably. That’s because a focused meal plan is actually a big component of physical fitness. You can’t out train a bad diet. If you don’t watch what you eat, you may not get the results you want. We can help get you there with a personalized nutritious meal plan.

TrooperKat Coaching

Our Fitness programs are tailored to your individual goals and needs and keep you motivated and engaged.
  • We all know that exercise is beneficial. However, it’s not just for the young, healthy and fit. It is also one of the best defenses against the toughest traits of aging. Exercise not only improves heart and lung health, but research shows that even modest exercise is good for the brain, bones, muscles and mood. Many studies have found that lifelong exercise may keep people healthier longer and delay the onset of many chronic conditions. Exercise can also help reduce the risk of falls: alleviate depression, stress and anxiety and may even help people live longer.
Seniors
  • Lifestyle exercise is not about lifting weights and attending fitness classes it’s about performing everyday life activities in such a way that they become small exercise opportunities. Taking the stairs instead of the elevator or parking at the far end of a parking lot or playing with your Grandchildren. At TrooperKat Fitness we’ll help you get back into shape so that life’s challenges become easier.
Lifestyle
  • Older adults should engage in moderate exercise and strength training each week, however less than one-third meets this objective. Cardio fitness is a measurement of your VO₂ max, which is the maximum amount of oxygen your body can consume during exercise. Your cardio fitness level is a strong indication of your overall physical health. At TrooperKat Fitness we teach functional movements that improve both cardio fitness and muscle strength used in everyday activities.
Aerobic
  • Did you know? As we age, our bodies naturally lose muscle mass which can lead to a lack of independence and a reduced quality of life. But there is something you can do about it. Consistently participating in a strength training program is scientifically proven to reverse age- related muscle loss and restore strength and functional abilities. TrooperKat Fitness will design a program that will help you achieve your fitness goals.
